MCP Platform and Server Engineer

About the Role

As an MCP Platform and Server Engineer at Cenna, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining our Mission Control Platform (MCP) that orchestrates our agentic security services. You'll design robust server architectures, implement high-performance APIs, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our platform as it manages complex security operations across distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the core server infrastructure for our Mission Control Platform
• Develop scalable APIs and services that enable secure communication between security agents
• Build robust orchestration systems to manage agent deployment and coordination
• Implement real-time monitoring and logging systems for security operations
• Optimize platform performance for high-throughput security workloads
• Ensure platform reliability, fault tolerance, and security
• Collaborate with the frontend and AI teams to integrate platform capabilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development and distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in server-side languages (Go, Rust, Java, or similar)
• Experience building and scaling high-performance APIs and services
• Knowledge of database systems and data modeling
• Understanding of security principles and best practices
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem-solving skills and systems thinking

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time systems and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of AI/ML deployment and serving infrastructure
• Familiarity with security operations or threat management platforms
• Experience with observability tools and practices
• Background in designing fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Experience with cloud-native development
• Experience working in a startup environment
